16th Paderborn IT Security Day

Tuesday the 27th and Wednesday the 28th of September 2022

Current topics and issues in IT security - that's what the 16th Paderborn IT Security Day at Paderborn University is all about. After the one-day online event in 2021, the successful series of events will once again be held over two days in 2022. This year, the range of lectures and workshops is particularly diverse and includes contributions from speakers from the scientific-academic, economic and medical-technical fields. The first day of the event will be dominated by scientific-technical and application-oriented lectures on the topics "Human Factor", "Automatic Side Channel Analysis", "Static Application Security Testing", "Authentication", "Over-the-Air Updates" and "Cyber Attacks in Hospital Environments". The second day will be devoted to joint interaction in workshops, which will provide the framework for discussions and exchange of experiences with the professional audience. The workshops will cover the following topics: "Information Security Management according to CISIS12", "Threat Analysis", "Roles Product Manager/Owner", "Live Hacking", "Business Continuity Management" and "IT Security as a Cultural Issue". The following renowned speakers have been secured for the keynotes on both days of the event:

  • Prof. Dr. Sebastian Schinzel from Münster University of Applied Sciences will give a lecture on the topic of "E-Mail Security in 2022".
  • Dr. Dietmar Guhe from Arvato Supply Chain Solutions SE Gütersloh will speak on the topic of "A resilient security infrastructure".
